An extremely horrible way was displayed by a man who clearly became quite angry with his wife after they had a fight.

A 33-year-old guy named Kema Akejelu has been brought before the court.

The woman was accused of beating up his wife and hurling her off a storey building when she appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court on Thursday.


The accused, a carpenter, is charged with two counts of assault-related offenses. He lives in the Lagos suburb of Idimu at Seun Nwachi St.



The crime was perpetrated at the accused's home on November 13 after an argument between the accused and his wife, Oghenekvewe, about her tardiness in returning home, the prosecution, Inspector Simeon Inuoha, told the court.


The accused alleged, "The accused beat up his wife and shoved her from a storey building, causing her two ankles to dislocate."



Sections 170 and 171 of Lagos State's 2011 Criminal Law were broken by the offenses.


Despite the accused's plea of not guilty, Chief Magistrate Mrs. B. O. Osunsanmi granted him bail in the amount of N50,000, accompanied by one surety in the same amount.


The matter was postponed until February 15th for discussion.

Thomas Pierrepoint (1870 - 1954) hangman. Thomas William Pierrepoint was born in Sutton Bonnington, Nottinghamshire in 1870 and by 1891 the family was living at Clayton, near Bradford in Yorkshire where Thomas and his father were employed in a stone quarry.
