A Decorative Bathtub Panel Fell off While My Husband Was on a Business Trip — What I Found under the Bathtub Made Me Go Pale

Emily’s life took an unexpected turn when she texted her husband about replacing a decorative bathtub panel, eliciting a worried response. “NOOO! Do not touch it or look inside. NEVER.” Emily explored and discovered an envelope tucked beneath the panel. The ultrasound scan contained the words, “Daddy, I’m coming soon.”

Emily felt stunned and hurt, so she contacted Sam, a private detective, to find out the truth. A week later, Sam reported that her husband, David, was having an affair with Lisa, a colleague who was six months pregnant. Emily felt betrayed and heartbroken, so she resolved to take action.

Emily arranged David’s birthday celebration with a hidden intention. The ultrasound image was featured on the cake, along with the words, “Daddy, I’m coming soon.” As the attendees gasped, expecting a surprise pregnancy announcement, Emily revealed the truth: “David is going to be a father, but the mother is his mistress, Lisa.”

The joyous atmosphere disappeared. David’s face was devoid of color, and Lisa was humiliated. Friends and family were startled, and David’s supervisor, Mr. Flanagan, voiced his disappointment and sought a meeting with David and Lisa to discuss their future plans at the company.

Emily, resolved to move on, informed David that it was over. She packed her bags and moved in with her friend Jessica, who helped her get through the trauma. Despite David’s appeals and pledges, Emily remained adamant. She found a lawyer and began the divorce proceedings.

Emily began reconstructing her life with the support of her friends and family. She concentrated on work, hobbies, and self-discovery, even traveling alone to the mountains to find tranquility.
